I have a new challenge. Set a timer for 30 minutes and complete a painting within that time frame. The goal is to loosen up. Get the paint down fast. Capture the light before it changes.
Tonight was my first 30 minute painting. It’s pretty bad — or ‘good first effort’ as they say.
I didn’t really plan out my subject manner very well for my first attempt but it was 8:30pm and dark, so I grabbed our water pitcher, set a water glass beside it, set my timer and went for it.
Now saved here for prosperity, or infamy… ta da!
I’ve got some small boards primed and ready to go. Hopefully tomorrow. I must say this challenge has really energized me. I can’t wait to get back to the easel!
